Episode 10: Belonging - how to feel it no matter where you are
In today’s episode I want to talk about a really important topic: BELONGING
Now this has been something I’ve struggled nearly my whole life with, until probably the past 5 years, where my feeling of belonging has really marinated deep into my body.
And ironically enough, the degree to which I’ve felt deep belonging has had nothing to do with who I’m loving, or how my kids are doing or how my family and I relate. None of that has moved the needle for me on BELONGING.
What has been a Quantum leap for me in BELONGING is my total acceptance of all parts of myself. The good the bad and the ugly as they say. Everything. The shadow and the light, all shades of my humanity. I accept it.
And that home coming has been a lifetime in the making. A lifetime of letting go of societal shoulds and must dos, of familial norms, and really honing in on what is my soul yearning to be here and to express here in this lifetime. And what a gift - it feels so freeing. To just be yourself, all the way, through and through.
We will explore how to overcome the feeling of separate-ness and start feeling belonging no matter where you are :)
